Reflection

The ISTE NETs-Educator Standards that apply to me as an educator relating to Differentiation of learning and students with special needs using Assistive Technology are 5a. Use technology to create, adapt and personalize learning experiences that foster independent learning and accommodate learner differences and needs and 6d. Model and nurture creativity and creative expression to communicate ideas, knowledge or connections. Some key concepts I can utilize in your classroom to differentiate content for students with special needs are to use a variety of formats such as videos, readings, and audio. This ensures that my students who need an alternative way of learning have some. I can also incorporate activities where my students have choices to choose from. Some tools I can use that I have learned about in Module 2 to address learning differences in my teaching are all of the options that Google has to offer such as Google Docs being able to translate documents and Read & Write for Google and all of its advantages.
